Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls: Nominated, booked and worshipped by Richard…

For those that don't know, Miles Hunt is the front man for The Wonder Stuff; a band I've worshipped since discovering their debut album  ‘The Eight Legged Groove Machine’. That’s when I realised I needed long hair!! After seeing them live for the first time on the "Hup" tour in ‘89 I guess it all just fit into place really. I would make the effort to get to any gig within a reasonable travelling distance, so when they announced warm updates to headline Reading in '92 Aberdeen seemed logical!!

20 years later we find Miles still fronting them, but now also playing acoustic shows with their fiddle player Erica Nockalls. There’s strong material from his new album ‘Not An Exit’ such as ‘Back on The Charm Offensive’ ,’Note To Self’ and ‘These Things Remembered (Not At All)’ but there will be plenty of old favourites thrown in for good measure! After a tour of the U.S in September, Miles and Erica head off an acoustic tour that will include our big night out at Square One. It’s worth mentioning that seven creweroots regulars saw Miles and Erica play in Cheltenham in the summer so this gig comes highly recommended. A great night to be had by one and all!!
