Serious Sam Barrett will have support from both Michael Rossiter and David Broad.
It’s our now legendary creweroots Xmas staff party (ha!) and you’re all invited. This promises to be a memorable night indeed. We saw Sam play the Fellfoot Sound festival in Cumbria over the summer and he’s exactly right for us. He’s an accomplished Delta Blues guitarist and he reminds us of Dai Thomas (although he’s in his 20s and handsome as hell). He polished his craft learning to play Robert Johnson songs at the age of 12 and he is a genuinely fascinating performer. Pop along to www.sambarrett.co.uk/sambarrett/web.nsf/wp/welcome and seek out the four free songs. These are a little dated now but his new album ‘Close to Home’ is as good a record as you’ll hear all year.
This show will be the first creweroots triple-header. Sam will be supported by Mike Rossiter (saw him at Fellfoot too...) and David Broad. While Sam is the headliner for the night, they will each play a solo set and then finish off the night playing as a trio.

(just be careful with David’s myspace at the moment – it seems to automatically play some techno stuff that you need to switch off before you can play his songs).
