Some of you will have noticed that we’ve started to get coverage in the local press and things seem to be moving forwards at quite a pace. There’s a real buzz about the Tom Hingley gig and, as some of you know, we’ve moved this to Square One instead of the Cross Keys. It’s a wrench but the reality is that this will be a better space for Tom, it gives us more scope to deal with the number of people who want to see him and, to be honest, it creates further opportunities for the future so that we can use both venues depending on who we are putting on.
Tickets will finally be on sale on Tuesday next week if you’re interested (as soon as the come back from the printers – proper tickets this time, perforated and numbered!). Some of you will be keen to turn out for this gig, others might not be so keen because it’s going to be a standing concert in a café-bar space rather than our usual cosy setting. For us, it feels as though we’re getting the best of both worlds here and it just creates more possibility for the future.
So, we’re aiming for well over a hundred people for the Tom Hingley gig and we’ve no doubt at all that it will happen. Can’t believe we’re responsible for one of the most legendary musical nights in Crewe ever. When the tickets are gone they’re gone so if you intend to come just let one of us know as soon as you can.
Tickets are ten quid in advance (we anticipate having none available on the night at all) and they can be organised by email to creweroots@hotmail.co.uk or you can pick them up in advance from Richard’s shop (Richard Joseph, 50, Edleston Road, Crewe).
